Inspiration

“The dancer’s body is simply the luminous manifestation of the soul.”

Isadora Duncan (1877 – 1927)

“Great dancers are not great because of their technique; they are great because of their passion.”

Martha Graham (1894 - 1991)

“Dance is for everybody. I believe that the dance came from the people and that it should always be delivered back to the people.”

Alvin Ailey (1931 - 1989)

“You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls and maybe hang in museums, no poems to be printed and sold, nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive.”

Merce Cunningham (1919 - 2009)
